Juan Castro Nalli has composed in many different styles such as Piano Studies, Short Pieces for Piano and Cello, Music for Theatrical Plays, for Classical Dance, for TV programmes in Perú and in Argentina, Lieder for Opera Singers, international folk pieces from Perú, Egypt, Brasil and Russia.

He has also co written and composed folk music pieces from coastal Perú in collaboration with Chabuca Granda, César Calvo and Daniel Camino Diez Canseco.


Appointed “Cultural & Musical Ambassador of Perú” in 1981, Juan Castro Nalli has ever since been promoting his country culturally to all the people & races of the world under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Cultural Institute of Perú.

He has played his most famous compositions, and those of other Peruvian composers, with outstanding critical success to large audiences, in concert halls, theatres and other well known locations in more than 50 countries of the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Australasia, and has been accompanied bye prestigious orchestras and musicians.

With his many recitals and concerts in 5 continents, Juan Castro Nalli has become the Latin American composer and concert player with the greatest number of performances to his credit, and perhaps of the world, as the official performing representative of a single country.

The richness and versatility of his compositions, interpretations and technique have placed Juan Castro Nalli, greatly to the pride of Perú, at the highest level of composers and musicians of our times.
